I have been wanting to purchase digital music for quite some time, but Amazon has this ridiculous geographical restriction which prevents anyone not from certain countries from purchasing music. Maybe it is the record companies' decision, but is that not discouraging people from buying? Couldn't help but thinking oweeeell it really was easier to just download it off the internet than having to sit through this frustration.
I tried not to expand my already countless accounts on the internet (it is ridiculous how many passwords I need to reset each time I forget), so been refraining from trying iTunes as a new account is needed. I am totally one of those people who will
immediately lose interest in a webpage if it requires sign-up to
continue. Some news sites have it (ridiculous), even National Geographic
has it. Just hooow annoying can these websites get? Really? You need an
account to use a tablet because the platform that comes with it needs
an account, you need an account to book accommodation online, you need
an account to comment (the classic case of Youtube where
Google forces you to register its Google+, which very little population
of the earth actually uses, to comment), you even need an account to review something you had purchased. Woooot. The world is full of control freaks.
So, anything that makes my life easier will earn my little support. If I want to use your service, I will willingly sign up for it. If you force me to use your service, rest assured I will look upon you rather negatively. Like Google. I don't even know I have Google Drive. Friends wanna use Google Drive for group work, only then I realised, hey I somehow already have one, without my knowledge all this while. Just because I signed on to Youtube using a hotmail account 8 years ago.
Eventually decided to try iTunes as it has the
largest music collection, and there is no dumb restriction
which prevents a legit consumer from consuming a legit product. It
turned out to be a breeze. Really easy. Don't even need to 'add to cart'
then 'check out'. Even the duration of the song samples are longer than
other sites. Just one problem, that is the bank charging transaction fee for each purchase. Each purchase! That suddenly
makes one song expensive. You will be better off buying physical CDs really. (Excluding shipping fees). (Oh, I find out that those extra dollars are just Purchase Authorisation charged temporarily on the bank account. So all in all, still cheaper to buy digital music.)

Actually this post was meant to be just 2 lines with some tests, whops. By using the tips here and here (How to add a music player in Blogspot), I have my little music player.
It seems really hard to find a suitable host for audio files. Extra reading to 'secure' mp3 source.
First purchase, a band with 2 vocalists. (Nice idea!)
a paindyne - Soothe
Second purchase, also from the same band.
a paindyne - Uchuujin (宇宙人)
I like music which slowly builds up with rhythm and atmosphere.
I just realise this blog looks different in different browsers, even the music player looks different.
