All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken.
A light from the shadow shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Pop pop pop

Rarely do I listen to this kind of music. Most of the time it makes me headache. Artificial sounds are so hard to digest.
But a certain electropop beats is just nice.

Susumu Hirasawa - The Girl in Byakkoya

I think its composition is marvellous.
This is the song from "Paprika" directed by Satoshi Kon (今敏). He is not as widely known as Hayao Miyazaki, but he makes really unique animations.
I know him through "Millenium Actress" (千年女优) years ago, which its directing impresses me.

Clips from "Paprika". Animation like this is irresistable!

Ayumi Hamasaki - Evolution (Live)

Live performances are always magical.
They make you like songs you used to dislike, reallllly.
The piano version of this song is very nice too.

Treasures I discover today!

Yanni - The Storm

There you go crazy harp.
This song is based on Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons - Summer", with a traditional beat that sounds a bit techno. Yanni is branded "New Age"...Not for the conservative classical music lovers.

Yanni's lives are very captivating.
Everyone is so talented in the orchestra. The keyboardist's solo, the violinist's solos, the didgeridoo player's solo (yeah...) ... ~sigh~

Yanni - World Dance

I don't mind paying 100AUD to see him live.

Maksim Mrvica - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence

Maksim oh Maksim ♥
Originally by Ryuichi Sakamoto (坂本 龍一), for the movie Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (1983).
The original one is very soothing.
