All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken.
A light from the shadow shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

What is this?

This is the aprroximate content of a post I saw:
"The worst floods are happening in the country because God loves us so unimaginably deeply, the floods happen as a reminder for us in time of New Year celebration (guess she means we celebrated too much)"

She even mentioned Mas incidents. My brain just exploded with angst. Although we are friends and I have nothing against her at all normally, even always feel appreciative towards her because she helped me before, I still feel that the statement is stupid. High-level stupidity. Inconsiderate and insensitive. Are you a flood victim? Do you know the feeling when you know you can do nothing but seeing your house getting flooded? Gone?

In times of adversities, everyone has his or her own ways to think positively and be optimistic, be it religious or irreligious people.  But at all times, you need to use your brain. You can think whatever you like man, no problem. But once you declare it publicly, it means you expect people to agree with you. Sadly, not everyone believes in what you believe in, if you only immerse yourself in your version of truth (which is interpreted differently among individuals), you will continue to spit shits that other people might take offence.

But whatever lah. Hide the post, and voila. I only hope the flood situation becomes better, so I can go home and help.
